Hi . That was my grandmother's most frequent symptom. She also called it her secret weapon. Most people thought she was fully asleep and would have conversation around her that they wouldn't want others to overhear. She knew everything about everybody. We are not medical experts, but if it happens while you are waking up, it's probably sleep paralysis. For my grandmother, it was cataplexy. She wouldn't necessarily collapse, probably because she felt it coming on. So, to others, it looked like she sat down and fell asleep. Have you talked with your doctor about it? - Lori (Team Member)
