I struggle with this ALL the time. I can be mid-conversation and completely lose my train of thought. Just this morning I was having a conversation about a realization I had the other day, and mid-sentence I stared off in the distance and said "uhm... what was I talking about?"
It is super frustrating, but I try to give myself grace. My brain is very sleep deprived. It isn't my fault that I struggle to remember things, and it doesn't make me stupid or broken. I hope you remind that to yourself too!
