Shedule

I am 21 y.o now, and I've had narcolepsy for 5 years now. During these years, I gained 38 kg of weight, and failed to be successful at my studies. Most people, including doctors advice me to make a shedule and stick to it, meanwhile I can't regulate my nightsleep, even with remedies I take. One day I sleep up to 6-7 hours, the next day I sleep max 3 hours, despite staying awake whole day. Can't find the logic of it, tried to change doses, still see no effect on regular basis

  1. That advice is very frustrating. Partly because it's not exactly wrong, partly because it's said like "Have you tried not having narcolepsy?". All I can tell you is to keep trying. If you're like me, you'll have periods where you manage it and you'll notice definite improvement. Then you'll have periods where it all falls apart no matter how hard you're trying. All I can say is keep trying. It can be tempting to slip back into old habits and coping methods that feel more natural to you. But for me the results are worse. You don't want to miss a period where you can manage it because it seemed futile to even try. I'm sure this answer is frustrating, I know it's frustrating for me.
