Narcolepsy medications and heart problems

I just turned 50 and have been talking Adderall for almost 30 years and while I am not thrilled to have to take amphetamines, I have been fortunate to live as close to a normal life as possible while taking them. Unfortunately, there have been some abnormal findings on my EKG’s recently (long QT to be exact) and it’s a good possibility I will have to stop taking my medication. I am a medical assistant and I don’t know if I will be able to stay awake to do my job without meds. (Don’t think it looks good when the person taking your blood pressure falls asleep!) Anyone else have heart issues affecting narcolepsy medication?
