So first thing first I don't know if this is appropriate if I share my experiences on consuming supplements or herbal remedies here. But I am curious to find out whether someone else here have taken some supplements to "treat" narcolepsy.
At the first I tried caffeine, maybe like anyone else here. But I don't want to get addicted to caffeine and somehow it upsets my stomach. Also I get that caffeine helps to decrease the EDS but I still find myself unable to focus or having a brain-fog like condition throughout the day. Then I found some herbal nootropics supplements that people says can boost or support brain health. I tried consuming Lion's Mane mushroom powder to my breakfast for 1/2 tablespoon for three days (until yesterday) and note that I feel... Better? Especially when I combine caffeinated drink with Lion's Mane, most of the EDS symptom and cataplexy dissapear and my focus increase dramatically. I almost forget that I got narcolepsy in the day but then the symptom came again at night. But if I only consume Lion's Mane without caffeine, I feel sleepy throguhout the day, but it just not as severe and my focus is still sharp. And interestingly I don't get many vivid or disturbing dreams at the night I consume Lion's Mane mushroom. However, ofc this is still preliminary since I also want to check whether there is some allergy reaction or side effect from it. I still want to try it for several weeks or months, on and off, to see the differences.
